  • All Members of the Adora Trails Community are invited to participate. 
  • Participants & Spectators Arrive at 10AM, Races Begin at 10:30AM
  • Fun Activities for Children and Youth will be provided throughout the event (Parents must accompany their children during the event).
  • Lunch is Provided to All (free of charge) from 12PM - 1PM!

RULES & INFO:

Car Build Specs (6 Rules)

  1. NEW CAR - Car must be a new build (within the last 6 months).
  2. WEIGHT - Car's max weight is 5.0 ounces. Cars weighing 5.1 ounces will be rejected.
  3. SIZE - Car's max length is 7 inches, and the max width is 2¾ inches.
  4. WHEELS - Car must have 4 wheels. The axles and wheels must be from the original kit. Sanding wheel irregularities are allowed, however, serrated edges of the wheel treads and the axle head must be visible at sign-in. The axle may not contain any spacers, washers, or bearings. 
  5. LUBRICANT - Car's axles and wheels may be lubricated before registration but not during the race. Only dry lubricant is permitted. Graphite is highly recommended! Re-lubrication will be permitted for those entering the Final Round.
  6. OTHER - Nothing is allowed to propel the car forward. 

Registration Details

    1. Car registration opens at 10am.
    2. Registration is located in the Church-building foyer at the northwest entrance.
    3. Hopefully you won't need it, however, a Pit Area will be available for last-minute modifications during registration. Pit Crew Specialists will be available to assist in modifications. It's recommended you bring your own spare parts (extra weight, lubricant, etc). 
    4. Car registration ends at 10:30am (which includes any modifications needing to be made).
    5. Once your car is registered, you will not be able to access or modify your car. A Pit Crew Team Member will move your car to the Display Table and Raceway. 

    Race Details

    1. Races begin at 10:30am for all children ages 0-11. Youth & Adult races age 12+ will follow. 
    2. Between 4 and 8 cars will be raced at a time.
    3. Each racing heat will be announced. 
    4. The cars will be carefully placed on the track and removed by Pit Crew Team Members who will decide which lanes are used, ensure the cars properly fit on each track, and manage the start of each race. 
    5. Each race will be judged by 2 Finish-Line Pit Crew Team Members.
    6. If your car did not perform well, Racers (YOU) may inspect your car after each race and make necessary repairs at the Pit Area. You will only be allotted 2 minutes for each Pit Stop. A Pit Crew Specialist will be available to assist you if necessary. Pit Crew Specialists will help you know what modifications will be permitted. If wheels or axles are replaced, only those wheels or axles being replaced may be lubricated. 
    7. Cars may be retrieved by the Racers (YOU) once the race completes (expected to be ~12 noon).
    8. Various awards will be announced at the end.

    Lunch

    • Lunch will be provided from 12 noon to 1pm and is free for everyone! Come & Enjoy!
    • The event concludes at 1pm.
